Cultural Redress
Protocols
We have agreed on Department of Conservations protocols and Ministry of Fisheries Protocols with the Crown on. These will be tabled at the next Runanga Hui for adoption.
Forestry Valuation
This work stream continues to progress well and we are still up to date in terms of the agreed timeframes.
Papakainga
Both Whangaehu and Turakina Hapu have chosen the general location on their respective Papakainga sites. We are working with the Crown on a couple of issues regarding the clearing of these sites, which we hope to get sorted soon.
Statutory Aknowledgements and Deeds of Recognitions
Work on Statements of Association for each site are still making some progress. We are looking forward to Chris Shenton returning to complete this work, and we are confident that we will have these completed by the end of November agreed timeframe.
Place Name Change
We have completed the application to the NZ Geographic Board, for the place name change of Parae Karetu (from Mt Curl). OTS have forwarded this to the Geographic Board.
